My Take on Bawku Conflict
The dynamics of Bawku and other parts of the country's periodic conflicts must be looked at with a curious and microscopic lens to avoid compromising national security as well as human security measures.
The politicizing of issues especially security with tribal and ethnic driving motives may create room for some actors to see the cracks in our national security architecture and try to capitalize on the weaknesses to strike.
Still, our democracy is not providing, the needed public trust when the adjudicating system is seen as the place where despots or supposedly powerful persons are assured of manipulative justice in entrenched social or cultural situations against fairness and balanced justice of the populace, the masses will start to take their salvation into their own hands. We need a strong and ensuring society where everyone has confidence in the system, their selves and others.
As vigilante groups are gradually emerging in the West Africa sub-region either in self-defence or terrorism, this evidence clearly shows the lack of interest in the national security systems of the region. Prince Hasevi's Take on Bawku-Conflicts
