The Mother of Our Security

The holy book says "hand that does not work should not eat". We mostly quote it to emphasize laziness to extent slothfulness, but the question is, are our hands not ready to work? In our system, where people are trained but do not have opportunities to use their talents in meaningful ways that will reward their sweats.   Someone may ask is stealing not work? As it happened recently, where a thief stormed church premises and stole equipment bought to serve the living God. Even our supposed holiest of holiest tabernacle has been defiled by robbery without the strike of death unlike Moses' regime while sinned priests were not able to return after their entering and offered sacrifice.   How for do Jesus Christ died for sinners, so the curtain has torned as we normally claimed, so thieves steal, take money and preach as well without any wrath descending from divine furnace to burn off the culprits or tactically steal from our workplaces.    Even in the presence of Al...

The irony of our politics

There is a saying, that tags politics as a "dirty game" or the most dishonest business ever exist on the planet earth. Which initially, repelled holy loving citizens who taught their ladder to heaven will be broken, if they engage in it. But the web created by its outcome mostly becomes albatross of the system which they live and their necks cannot escape the noose of it. It stretches across every hemisphere of our lives from security, food, life and death, water; let us say from cradle to death activities and if possible, when we can say it provides us with air that we breathe. The indispensability of politics has been seen through generations and centuries, it has become local and global means to achieve a certain goals whether humane or destructive to humanity and the environment. Countries and provinces strike agreements through this machinery called diplomacy which occurred through political embracement. Its main mission is to create some hierarchy of organisation...

The double mouth commentator

The sieve that we used in science to separate particles called solutes and sediments has been idiomatically introduced to into our world of journalism. For democracy to strive, it will take the independence of these public eyes to monitor activities of everyone and report to everyone.  This concept becomes inevitable to survive of our existence, even if every account demanding organisations have failed. Being the eyes and noses of the people, entail all the sensitivities of information that brings liberty or bondage to beneficiaries of every system.  Turning into sieve drives accuracy, unbiased or brevity of information from any circumstance whether soiled or clean. This device proves what to contain or discard, taking the appropriate content for its purposes.   When journalism becomes the channel of manipulation of dominant forces, then it will just be like torn sieve that cannot bring out accurate information or accountability to the system. Or a tied goat waiting...

How the church will lose its relevance

In Africa society, religion has become so dominant that we pray beyond our energy for work but demands beyond our energy of work. Religion has become the driving forces behind everything that we will do, we vote in line with our religion even if we know the candidates do not possess the agility for the tasks of nation building.  Our religion drives on favoured ones, some may say capitalist world. Because our colonial masters or forerunners of our faith drove on the same wheels to achieve their exploitative ambitions through crafty manipulation.   We view heaven as paradise that only win without fulfilling the desires of the earth. Our initiators of Christian faith build strong institutions and human acumen for the flourishing of the earth but not for heaven, because some were done through the inhuman of living and non-living things.  History is infinite and continuity through the right recording sources, despite human interception can muddy its authenticity. Politi...

As Rainforest Initiative Ambassador

There is an adage says "when the last tree falls, the last man dies" this means our lives depend on nature. The world cries for help against their own created weather conditions, which is climate change. Trees forming forests are seen as the lifeline to reverse these catastrophic events, the radiation or heat waves from this climate change and the related problems are stinking obvious and inescapable to every living thing that crawls and walks through the womb of the earth. Sea and rivers are having their shares of these emerging life-threatening phenomena. This happening has no colour of creeds, it hits any heart of deity and its servants, ranging from alphabetical A to Z. Forests across the world are under siege from deforestation due to construction, mining, agriculture, roads etc. to meet the growing needs of humanity. A call from International bodies could not live without attempts to create some intervening reliefs. An initiative introduced by UN Environment has bec...
