African Union in G20, 2023

As a youth, when you live in a religious dominant environment, one thing you will be deceived of is claiming to receive a calling from God, called anointing to mount the pulpit or podium anywhere to preach the word of supposed salvation. Thereby denouncing even your traditional roots and following most non-religious adventures, sometimes academic pursuits.

I nearly became a victim of this ideology until I took it upon myself to do thorough research on the biblical content and character and realized that every story was created by somebody. So that means I can also create my story to benefit generations. This led my book-writing journey and strong passion to see humanity relieved from distress led to more desire to acquire knowledge that can be used to bring positive changes in society in local, national and international arenas.

After I got admission to pursue an MA in International Affairs at the University of Ghana, I posted some information on it, then it sparked the distasteful interest of religious fanatics who thought I was being hard by not joining their circle of the religious expedition, beginning to post the disposed of old project works of students in the dustbin, just to prove their points.

But with my intuition and conviction, I know I am not just going for further study to acquire a certificate but rather for positive changes and lasting impacts in the international systems. Today, I have seen my multifaceted research work with recommendations achieving real-life transformation, even before I graduated with a certificate.

For example, G20 now includes the African Union as a permanent member and not just an observer on the decision-making table, this feat is already bringing some fervent into my soul. Let the youths of today rise against religious fanaticism and entrenched ideology that will mar their curiosity, critical thinking, innovation, intuition and conviction to deliberately create a better world for everyone.
